Residential treatment, in a safe, healthy environment is available to individuals 18 years of age and over suffering from a wide range of substance abuse problems. Length of treatment varies for each individual, but usually lasts 30 to 90 days. Pathway’s goal is to provide a stabilizing environment where addicts can recover without shame from the immediate effects of drug or alcohol use.

The in-patient program is highly structured and includes individual treatment planning, individual and group counseling, educational lectures, relapse prevention and discharge planning and family counseling and family visiting. Other components include 12-step and community support meetings, spiritual activities and supervision of medication.

Pathways has outpatient programs that cover several different levels. Day treatment services are an alternative to residential recovery or may be used as a step-down program. Sessions are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The intensive outpatient treatment program may be also be used as a step down from in-patient services, meeting five to six times per week for three hours each day for a total of 10 weeks. Regular outpatient sessions meet three times per week for one hour for a total of 10 weeks. Admission to any program is determined at the time of assessment.
